A Cocos Weddng is also incomplete without a Sajen. A Sajen is an offering normally done by the Balinese people to their ancestors and gods which they made three times daily. A Sajen contains some banana, fruits, salt, sugar, flour and whatever other things that the ancestors or spirits like. For the Cocos Community they explained that it was the practise of the fore fathers that they are following. The Sajen is placed at both sides of the wedding dias in the house and are sent to the priest or imam house after the wedding. This practise could have been adopted from Bali as they are some in the Cocos Community that originated from Bali and Bima including the wife of their Master, John Clunies Ross. It could have similar meaning to that of the Sesajen from Bali Island and Java.
